Hotcake
Based on: Crowther Audio Hotcake
£70
It’s a mighty crunchy, home grown distortion effects pedal that guitarists the world over swear by. And they are as rare as hens teeth.
The Hotcake was first produced in 1976, while Paul Crowther was in the UK with the band, Split Enz. The Hotcake is designed to leave the undistorted component of the guitar sound unchanged, while providing a nice fat distortion sound without resorting to a treble cut circuit which will also affect the guitar tonality.
With the Drive and Presence controls set to minimum, and the Level at around 2 o’clock, you should be hard pressed to hear any change in the sound at all when you switch the Hotcake in and out.

XXX
Based on: Mesa Triple Rectifier
A high gain distortion pedal for guitar or bass. The XXX pedal simulates a hard driven US voiced tube amplifier with a tight bass response for heavy metal and grunge guitar styles. All analog circuitry ensures a pure signal path and 2-band EQ helps to tailor the frequency response as needed. Powerful tones for heavy riff and barre chord driven rock.
4&7
Based on: Lumpys Toneshop Lemon Drop
£70
Designed to mimic the unique overdriven tones of the rare Vox 4&7 series amplifiers in a small and easy to use stompbox. An unknown amp to most, the 4&7 series amps were most famously used by the Beatles during the Revolver era and Jimmy Page on numerous tracks from the second Led Zep album. Think Paperback Writer style of tones and, yes, Whole Lotta Love.

Flangelicious
Based on: Electric Druid Classic 4 Knob Flanger
The 4 KNOB FLANGE is a fairly standard four knob flanger, as the name suggests. It offers Manual (Flanger frequency), Depth, Rate, and Resonance (Feedback) controls. You can get a wide range of classic flanging sounds from this pedal, from deep slow whooshes to rippling wobbles. With the Depth at zero, you can use the Manual control to set ‘static flanger’ sounds.
